PDPD
(Poof Dirt Pig Department)
12/30/2021 We got pigs. 2 of them! They used to live across the yard from us. Our immediate neighbor, one of our favorite neighbors! They are vegetarian and love all kids of vegetables. Except avocado. So, at our farm, we have no food waste!
They dig the ground big enough for both of them to lay down next to each other. When they are full, and sunny out there, I catch them taking a nap together. As soon as we get closer, they get up and start making the noise! I personally don't like that sound.
Dwight is sweet. Daisy on the other hand, she started to charge at us when we tried to catch her to transport. She is VERY smart but mean! So together, they are "Sweet & Sour Pork!" This time, I have been very careful not to get emotionally attached to them, because you know, they will have one bad day sooner or later...

3/23/2022 One Bad Day... RIP Dwight & Daisy...
New Kid on the block
3/25/2022 We got a new piglet from an Amagosa pig farmer. She is 7 weeks old, and she is a mix of Berkshire, Hampshire, and Duroc.
She can get up to 500lb! If we can get her up to 250 lb, we'll be happy... Welcome Carolina! Mike named her after the whole-hog style barbeque he was raised on. I call her "Miss Piggy."
