Pepper Land

My husband loves hot peppers! Hotter the better! Last year, we grew a lot of peppers! He prepares dry rubs, and sauces for grilling. This year- we are doing it from the dirt!
Picture
5/7/2020. Last year, I grew from seeds. This year, none of my seeds germinated due to prolonged cold weather. So I had to get a bunch of plants from our local nursery! We've got a wide variety of super hot peppers! I am a bit worried... They don't seem to be growing quickly, but we'll see how they run!

5/13/2020. Slowly but surely, plants are growing. Not the way I want to see, but at least, they are not dead! Maybe I am just impatient...

5/20/2020. Peppers are started to fruit. I am going to crop some today for sure! Hungarian Wax peppers are the first ones!

5/27/2020. Despite my husband's concern and suggestions, I normally let nature do their "thang". However, I took his advice this time, and we threw some fertilizer on all of my plants. It seems like they are doing a little better, but these peppers seem little lacking in nutrients. so I am planning on giving them Liquid Cal-Mag today and see what happens. This is my husband's field, so I can't let him down! Peppers like hot temp, so hopefully this week with above 100F weather, I will see some progress!

6/3/2020. Last week, I stated that I was going to give them Cal-Mag, but I didn't. I decided to wait and see how they grow. Now look! They are fine! They started to flower, and look healthier! They are loving the heat!

6/24/2020.  It's getting hotter and hotter every day, and my hot peppers are loving it! I just cropped a bucket full of hot peppers yesterday! It's their season now! So much fun to see my husband eats these hot peppers! I just laugh! THE more I pick, the more they produce. I just got to keep up with them!

7/1/2020 More I pick, more it produce. They like to be picked on! lol This is Hangarian Wax hot pepper. They are doing really good!

7/8/2020. This is what happened when I left my husband to take care of his land! Salt Cedar everywhere! Time to clean up the area!!
Here's the mid term report from our pepper land! This video will tell you what types of peppers we are growing, and which ones are thriving! We also did mid term hot pepper tasting video. Enjoy!
